Fernand Deligny Correspondence from the Cévennes, 1968-1996

La Correspondance des Cévennes, 1968-1996 [The Correspondence of the Cévennes, 1968-1996], appearing after the republication of Œuvres (2017), deals with the years during which Fernand Deligny lived with autistic children and developed his research about the the mode of being “outside language,” the human and the image. The “Cévennes” actually refers to the hamlet of Graniers, in Monoblet, which Deligny did not leave for thirty years; from this fixed point he thought and organized what he called the “network.” Deligny’s letters (a selection from a thousand) make up about three quarters of the Correspondence and bear witness to the “laboratory” of his work in progress.
